How Minmatar Fleet Alliance collects, uses, and shares information on minmatar.org — including Discord login, EVE Online ESI data, cookies, and analytics.
Last updated: 16 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Minmatar Fleet Alliance (“FL33T”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use minmatar.org and related services (the “Site”).
This Site is a player-run community service. It is not operated by CCP hf. (“CCP”), the makers of EVE Online. CCP’s own privacy practices are described in CCP’s Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
We operate the Site for alliance members, guests, and the public: fleet tools, corporation applications, industry and market services, learning content, and related community features.
Contact: admin@minmatar.org or a ticket in #help on the Minmatar Fleet Discord.
2. Information we collect
Discord account
You sign in with Discord. We receive identifiers Discord provides through OAuth (typically Discord user id, username, avatar, and related profile fields). Signing in adds you to the Minmatar Fleet Discord server. If you leave that server, we delete your Site account and associated personal data, as described when you log in.
EVE Online (SSO and ESI)
If you link characters, you authorize CCP’s single sign-on and ESI scopes. Depending on the token type you grant, we may store and process:
- Character, corporation, and alliance identity
- Skills, skill queue, clones, implants, and Faction Warfare stats
- Assets, blueprints, industry jobs, planetary colonies, and mining
- Wallet, market orders, and contracts
- Killmails, fleet membership (when you are in a fleet we manage), structures, and notifications
- Corporation-level data when a director or similar token is granted (membership, wallets, assets, structures, and similar ESI data)
We request only the scopes needed for the features you use. Tokens are stored so the Site can refresh ESI data. Do not grant tokens you are not willing to share with alliance operators who run those tools.
Account, applications, and community content
We store profiles, corporation and tribe applications, group membership, fleet attendance and related metrics, SRP and market/industry records, combat logs you upload, posts and propaganda you publish, referral activity, notification preferences, and similar records you create on the Site.
Technical data
We collect server logs and similar technical data (for example IP address, timestamps, user agent, and referring URL). Referral tracking may record IP and path. Error reporting may include request context.
Cookies and similar storage
We use cookies and local browser storage, including:
- Necessary: authentication (
auth_token), session and redirect cookies, primary character cache, and similar items required to keep you signed in and the Site working - Preferences: UI settings such as colour-blind mode, scaling, staging, learning persona, and “don’t show this disclaimer again”
- Analytics: Google Analytics (see below)
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Authenticate you and keep the Site working
- Provide alliance tools (fleets, fittings, assets, industry, market, intel helpers, learning, applications)
- Sync Discord roles and membership with Site permissions
- Operate SRP, freight, buyback, and similar community services
- Improve the Site, diagnose errors, and prevent abuse
- Measure public traffic with Google Analytics
- Comply with law and protect the alliance, members, and the Site
4. Analytics and error reporting
Google Analytics (property G-H2HFG2XB2N) runs on the Site and may set cookies and collect usage data (pages viewed, device/browser information, and approximate location derived by Google). See Google’s privacy policy. You can use browser controls or Google’s opt-out tools to limit this.
Sentry receives application error reports so we can fix bugs. Reports may include technical details about the failing request. We configure filters to reduce noisy or unnecessary events.
5. When we share information
We share information with:
- CCP — when you use EVE SSO/ESI; CCP processes that interaction under its terms and privacy policy
- Discord — for login and server membership
- Google — Analytics
- Sentry — error monitoring
- Twitch, YouTube, or Reddit — only if you connect a creator account
- Alliance officers, directors, and tool operators — as needed to run fleets, applications, industry, market, intel, and similar features (this can include character, attendance, and ESI-derived data)
- Service hosts — infrastructure that stores or serves the Site
We do not sell your personal information. We do not offer it to third parties for their independent marketing.
Public pages (guides, propaganda, some alliance content) are visible to anyone. Do not post information you need to keep private.
6. Retention
We keep account data while your account exists. Leaving the Minmatar Fleet Discord server deletes your Site account and associated personal data. You may also request deletion via the account-deletion function where available, or by contacting us.
Some records may remain where we have a legitimate need (for example audit entries that an account was deleted, financial or SRP records required to run alliance services, or backups for a limited period). Aggregated or de-identified statistics may be kept.
ESI tokens are retained until you remove the character, revoke the token at CCP, or your account is deleted.
7. Security
We use access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS), and restricted operator access. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Protect your Discord account and never share ESI refresh tokens. Revoke tokens at EVE Online if a device or account is compromised.
8. Your choices
- Revoke Discord access in Discord’s authorized-app settings
- Revoke ESI tokens in EVE Online account settings
- Remove linked characters in your Site account where the UI allows it
- Leave the Minmatar Fleet Discord server to delete your Site account
- Control cookies in your browser (blocking necessary cookies will break login)
- Limit Analytics via browser or Google opt-out tools
- Contact us to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, subject to alliance operational needs and law
If you are in a region with data-protection rights (for example the EEA/UK), you may also have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability, and to complain to a supervisory authority. We will respond to reasonable requests.
9. Children
The Site is intended for players who may use Discord and EVE Online. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the minimum age required by Discord, CCP, or applicable law. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will delete that information.
10. International processing
Operators, members, and vendors may process data in the United States, Iceland (CCP), the EEA, and other countries. If you use the Site, you understand that your information may be transferred to those locations.
11. EVE Online and CCP
Game data, art, and trademarks displayed on the Site belong to CCP. We access Game Data only through approved CCP tools (including ESI) under the EVE Developer License Agreement. CCP is not responsible for this Site. See our Terms of Service for the full proprietary notices.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes may also be noted in Discord or on the Site.
