Overview of abyssal deadspace: tiers, weather types, and links to solo, duo, and trio fit guides.

Venture into the Abyss

Before you start

Abyssal deadspace is high-skill-ceiling PvE on a time limit: each site takes under 20 minutes to run, or you die and lose your ship and pod. For general background on abyssals, see the EVE Uni wiki. Some of that information is repeated here to keep the essentials in one place.

The Concept

  • This guide assumes characters with level V in all relevant support skills and level V in all primary skills. We strongly suggest not attempting T5 or above without those skills.
  • The purpose of this guide is to provide base knowledge on how to run each abyssal type and room, with fits for solo, duo, or trio boxing—or flying with friends.
  • The Abyss itself is not inherently hard content. The difficulty comes from learning how to react to each room on the fly. There is a learning curve. You will lose ships. Do not let that discourage you—once you have that knowledge, abyssals become much easier and very profitable. It is a fun activity with good ISK-making capabilities.

Requirements

Each ship and abyss type has different requirements, provided in the ship-specific guides below.

Initial Investment

80m–15b ISK, depending on how and what you want to run.

General Suggestions

  • Make deepsafes. Enter an abyssal site just before downtime and stay alive until the server shuts down. You will be yeeted into a random location in space when the server comes back up.
  • Drop off loot after every run. Preferably park a cloaked hauler nearby where you can offload; if not, bring loot to a station. You do not want to die in the abyss carrying your precious loot.

Suggested systems

Find large, quiet systems to run in. See our Discord SIG channel for suggested systems.

Abyssal tiers

Abyssal sites range from T0 to T6. Higher tiers are more difficult, and each tier has restrictions on where you can activate filaments. See the table below.
